The Cleveland Play House is thinking of moving down to Playhouse Square. While before I would have felt that this would further blight the neighborhood it is currently in, now I’m thinking that this is brilliance. We need to consolidate and condense, and this is a very smart move for doing so. Eventually maybe we’ll have the infrastructure and community out near the current Cleveland Play House to support it, and I think it’s sad that the beautiful building might go into disrepair. However, for the long-term health of the city, I think this is a great move.
